The company said through its website, “These smartphones or platforms will not support the features of Whatsapp new features. We are going to add new features to the app in the future. If you use these smartphones, then upgrade your smartphone’s operating system or use a smartphone with the latest operating system.
If you use these smartphones, then the Android users operating system Android 4.0 or above, up to the iPhone users IOS 7 or above, upgrade to the OS from Windows 8.1 or above. Till the end of 2018, Whatsapp will work on these older smartphones or OS.

Speaking of Nokia phone, WhatsApp will stop working on the Nokia S40 platform after the end of this year.
Whatsapp will not work even on the Nokia Asha series phones. Users who using this platform will not be able to create new accounts on WhatsApp and will not be able to reverify their whatsapp.
This app will not work even on the Nokia Symbian S60 platform.
Android smartphone users will not be able to use Whatsapp on Android 2.1 (Eclair) and Android 2.2 (Frooyo).
At the same time, Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) users will be able to use Whatsapp for the next two years for which they will be updated.
Users who use Apple iPhone will not be able to use Whatsapp on iPhone 3GS and iOS 6.
Whatsapp will not work on BlackBerry 10 or older OS. However, users who use BlackBerry 10 OS will get two weeks grace period in January.
Whatsapp will also stop working for users who use Windows 8.0. After this year these users will not get the update of Whatsapp.
Apart from this, Whatsapp will not support Windows Phone 7 as well.
Whatsapp said that users using these devices will not be able to transfer their chat history to the new device, because whatsapp does not have such a feature, so that chat history can be transferred on new platforms. However users will be able to transfer their chat history via e-mail.
